Things.

  1. Today is my little brother's 4th birthday, but we're not having his party until Monday.  This has caused heaps of confusion because he's too young to understand what's going on and he keeps on thinking that his birthday isn't until he gets his presents.  Why we couldn't have had his party today, I have no idea.
  2. My dad piled a shit-ton of work on me today, and he is notoriously impatient so it stressed me out a lot.  Right when I was about to have a mini-break down because of server issues my sister checked the mail and brought me the lovely package that my blogger friend Lizzie had sent me!  Inside was a kickass summer playlist CD and a sweetawesome card that brightened up my day.  Needless to say, I was inspired to quit my bitching and do some hardcore coding.  Just kidding.  It wasn't hardcore, just tedious.
  3. I have discovered that I work faster when I bribe myself with gummy bears.
  4. I really need to clean out my room and get things together for a garage sale or something.  I may or may not be a hoarder.
  5. The postcard project is doing well, and I'm happy to announce that I have 5 cards completed, and two sketched out and ready to be painted!

  1. Happy Birthday to your little bro!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the CD and letter. It keeps brightening up my days to learn everyone is getting their packages! <3

As for the cleaning up, I worry I am somewhat of a hoarder too. I'm currently doing a massive purge, which knowing me might last until I'm gone, but will help me feel infinitely better. Having the yard sale was a huge help so if you can make one happen, I definitely encourage it!

    Yay postcard project!

  2. I am most definitely a hoarder. Happy birthday to the little guy :) My niece recently had her 4th, but she didn't get a party at all. The week before was her sisters 2nd, and also no party. So they must be very confused about birthdays. Though they still got presents.

Good luck getting all that work done for your dad. Bribing yourself helps until you lose your willpower and just start eating gummy bears because you realise that the only thing stopping you is you.

I'm also glad you got some random love from a blogger :)

  4. I've never thought of bribing myself with gummy bears to work faster. Though I would probably use Reese's peanut butter cups instead.

  5. I hope your brother has a fabulous birthday party regardless of the confusion! Number 4 is a very good idea. I should probably do that. And I can't wait to see the results of the postcard project! Woo.
