Seasonal Allergies

It's that time of year again!

Yes.  Along with the temperature slightly dropping from barely tolerable heat to pleasant warmth, there came a hoard of allergens that have made my life hell for the past two days.  In fact, I've been so miserable I even illustrated my new-found relationship with tissues.

Tissues, I don't think we should ever be apart. Ever.

But yes.  Whenever it's allergy season I'm not a happy person.  Every few minutes or so one can hear me complain saying "Ughhh my nosssseeee," followed by the gross noises of me blowing my nose.  Lovely, I know.

Out in public I'm less sickly, but it's mainly because I load myself up with decongestants  and allergy meds, but I feel really sluggish.  Ah well, my allergies usually only last a little while so I'll just grin and bear it for now and hope that a cold front moves in a blows all the pollen and weeds away.

  1. I get hay fever but thankfully the medicine does quite a good job of keeping it at bay. Maybe you can find some non-drowsy medicine? Or find and eliminate everything that makes you sneeze and become an evil empress. Which would be pretty cool.

    1. If I could eliminate ragweed from my vicinity that would be awesome. And even the non-drowsy stuff makes me hazy. My body isn't used to medicine :P

  2. I am glad you have plenty of tissues for your issues. I also can not get through life without medicating myself... but my medicine mainly consists of Diet Dr. Pepper, Tylenol, and Leo Sayer albums from the seventies.

    1. Wow, that's one heck of a self-medication routine!

  3. Your allergies arrive during the fall? That just seems so foreign to me. All mine arrive during the Spring and Summer.

    1. Summer and Winter are when I feel the best. But mainly I get allergies in Autumn because of all the ragweed and decaying leaves. Fun stuff. And spring time is just as bad for me due to all of the pollen.

Maybe it's a regional thing? I mean, that's just how it is for me in Texas.

  5. I get the feeling we bloggers are a sickly bunch. I get allergies all four seasons, but this back to school time is always the worst for me. I have to take extravagant cocktails of medicine, and convince my doctor that yes, I need the highest strength stuff, and no, I'm not cooking meth with it.

Hopefully your face is so complimented by the fact you drew a picture of it that it will stop leaking!
