Spring Break 1

I decided to take today to get a little painting done outside while the puppy frolicked and played in the grass. After a little while my siblings decided to join me outside and we blew bubbles and the younger ones rode their bikes. I finished my painting, but I didn't like half of it so I blacked it out and I'm going to cut it off when I get to school. C'est la vie. Hopefully I can AT LEAST finish another painting before the end of the week. I bought a new swimsuit today, and it's a really simple, sort of mod one.

Also I've been on my uni's freshman FB group page. It's moderated by one of the media managers on HPU and she answers any questions we have. Personally I find the group awesome, sans all of the people talking about how much booze they're bringing with them the first day so that they can party it up before classes. Are you kidding me? I don't have anything against partying, but the group is being MODERATED by a university official. It's sheer stupidity to say that stuff out in the open for everyone to read.

But that's just my opinion. As someone who ducks away from cameras at events, it just seems like common sense to NOT say that stuff. I really need to get some actual homework done.

  1. I am loving and hating having access to the Facebook group of all the students going to our colleges next year. On the one hand, some people seem awesome, but on the other hand... I can't help but judge some people from the things that they post, how they type, or how slutty their profile pictures are... my bad. No one has said anything about bringing booze yet, though, which seems particularly dumb to me... really people? College doesn't start for practically 6 months and you're already planning how you're going to get totally wasted? Sigh...

    Anyway. Yay spring break! :) I'm jealous. It looks so pretty outside there. And... puppy!

  2. I really like your new header! It reflects your artistic self quite well, if I do say so myself.

    Your painting is gorgeous. Is that a friend?

    I can see in the corner the insane number of members in your incoming class. Well, insane compared to mine, which currently stands at 199. I think we're in for two different college experiences! I hope those idiots think better and don't bring alcohol. It's just sheer stupidity, like you said, to broadcast such a thing to the world/school officials.

    Still, I'm glad you got in where you want to go and can now get to know fellow classmates. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know some of mine. :)

  4. That painting is indeed a touch of class, great piece of work.
    And I know what you mean about douches posting idiotic things on fb, but what can you do? Let them be idiots. It means it's easier for educated people to get jobs when employers check out fb pages ;).

  5. I think if you're stupid enough to "party it up before class" you're not exactly thinking of who's going to see it.

  6. @Natalie Yeah... My inner judgy person comes out sometimes when I look at everyone's stuff.

    @Lizzi Thanks! Yeah it's a portrait of my friend Hannah. WOAH. 199?! And I thought my college class was small!

    @Kayleigh Thanks!

    @Ash Thank you. And yeah, when I went in for my interviews they said that they would kick out trouble makers within the first 6 weeks, so I'm not *too* worried about idiotic people.

    @Mark Tis true.
